Our Father’s sermon given at the holy communion table Circle Mission Church Home and Training School of Pennsylvania at 764-772 Broad street Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday evening, May 2, 1950 at  6:05 p.m.

(SONG)

                        I know YOU are GOD, I know YOU are GOD,

                        I Know, I know YOU are GOD!

                        Down in this heart.  I know YOU are GOD,

                        I know, I know YOU are GOD!

                        YOU healed this body, and changed this mind,

                         That’s why I know YOU are GOD!

                        Down in this heart, I know YOU are GOD.

                        I know, I know YOU are GOD!

(Father speaks as follows:)

 

PEACE, EVERYONE!  GOOD HEALTH, GOOD WILL and a GOOD APPETITE!  GOOD MANNERS, GOOD BEHAVIOUR, ALL SUCCESS and ALL PROSPERITY!  LIFE,LIBERTYand the REALITY of HAPPINESS!  ALL WISDON, ALL KNOWLEDGE and ALL UNDERSTANDING, and the KNOWLEDGE that gives LIFE ETERNAL, for

“It is eternal Life,” CHRIST declared,

                          to know THEE, said he “the only true

                          GOD, and JESUS CHRIST Whom THOU

                          hast sent.”

It is a privilege to realize GOD is in the midst of you and you know, you know you have declared and millions of others the universe over, I heard them say and I heard you sing,

                          “I KNOW YOU ARE GOD!”

                          “It is Eternal Life to know THEE,” said he, “THE

                          ONLY TRUE GOD and JESUS CHRIST Whom

                          THOU  has sent.”

It is a privilege to line in such a recognition, and under such a conviction you will have Peace and Rest with blessed assurance and you can say as you have sung, I KNOW YOU ARE GOD!  IT IS A BLESSING TO BELIEVE, BUT UTUSLIFE ETERNAL TO KNOW GOD ARIGHT!  Aren’t you glad!  (“So glad, LORD!” exclaimed the masses.)  You first hear and then believe, and after you believe and learn of HIM and find out WHO HE IS, why then, you KNOW HIM as HE IS!  And to KNOW GOD ARIGHT IS LIFE ETERNAL!

To believe externally, in other words, mentally, it is a blessing to believe, but it is LIFE ETERNAL to KNOW, but just to believe theoretically and intellectually and even scientifically, it is not sufficient!  When you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth, just like you get something you have committed to memory and have reiterated it by heart!  “I know this or that by heart and not just by the head!”  It is a part of you and you are a part of it as you live it and express it when it is in the heart!  By believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth, thou shalt be saved!  If you just believe in your head and not in your heart, you may not be saved, but keep on believing, believing and believing until you can get it in the heart, believing sincerely and then learn of ME, as I said,

                          “Take MY yoke upon you and learn of

                          ME, for MY yoke is easy and MY bur-

                          den is light and thou shalt find rest for

                          thy soul.”

To learn of ME is to learn of ME internally, mentally and spiritually.  To lean of ME effectively is to believe sincerely, spiritually and mentally until you get it in the heart and when the BELIEF is sustained in the heart and you are unshaken in confidence, HE THAT BELIEVETH IN HIS HEART AND CONFESSETH WITH HIS MOUTH, HE SHALL BE SAVED!

Our Father’s message given at the Holy Communion Table Of the Circle Mission Church, Home And Training School, Inc. 764-772 Broad street Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday afternoon August 8, 1951 at 4:01 p.m.

“The Slave Labor Wage Scale Has Inflicted All Under-privileged People”  – Father Divine

            During the Holy Communion Service, a secretary read a significant Office Talk from the latest issue of The NEW DAY of Saturday, August 11, 1951 A.D.F.D., on page eight, captioned: RESTITUTION TO THE OPPRESSED AND DOWNTRODDEN BY THE GOVERNMENT.”

Truly, ONLY GOD ALMIGHTY could uncover such injustices and bring to judgment every unjust act that has been inflicted upon the children of men of the under-privileged and nonprivileged, and mete out to them EQUITY and JUSTICE, as declared in the Scripture:

“I shall reward every man according as his works may be!”

Therefore, history shall repeat itself, as Zacchaeus, a tax collector or receiver of taxes in the days of Jesus declared; as it is recorded in Saint Luke 19:2-10. [Read more…]

            (Just before FATHER gave this brief Sermon and announcement, the following inspirational composition was sung as follows:)

Many Blessings for tomorrow,

Many Blessings for today,

Many Blessings throughout Eternity

If you trust HIM and obey;

There is no end to FATHER’S Blessings,

They are limitless, can’t you see?

Many Blessings, Many Blessings

For you and for me!

 

(FATHER speaks as follows:)

PEACE, EVERYONE!  At this instance I would like to say, there are so many blessings, you cannot count them all!   And this is not a supposition.  You can see the actual materialization of the limitless blessings demonstrated.  Therefore, we sing it and we say it definitely, for truly there are so many blessings for you and for ME!  That which you can vision ─ in other words, anything you can imagine can be done!  Genesis, eleventh chapter and the sixth verse:

                         “The people are of one language and of

                          one speech ─ (in other words) The people

                          is one.  Now not anything can be restrained

                          from them to do what they have imagined

                          to do.”

We imagine having a world like this in which to live!  Aren’t you glad!  (“So glad, LORD!” came the eager response.)  And we do not mean to be discouraged and we do not mean to be disturbed and we do not mean to digress in the actuated words of expression until this shall have been accomplished universally!  A world in which to live that will be free from all vice and crime and sin and debauchery of every kind!  That your very vocabularies will be purged and purified as silver and as gold are purged!  I will speak a little more explicitly in deeds and in actions, for words of the human language are inadequate to explain and to tell you all of the significance and the magnanimousness of the Infinite One!

For this cause I refrain from speaking at the instance, but will speak more in deeds and in actions and will continue to put MY Spirit in the people and cause them to walk in MY Statutes!

At this time I would like to say as aforesaid, we have visiting guests.  Of course, it is a late hour, nevertheless, we never get tired of hearing good from the Fount of GOD’S Infinite Love!  Therefore, I would like to say, if any of our visiting guests and visiting friends desire to speak, they are welcome to do so.  You are welcome to move volitionally even as we do, if you care to.  Dr. Hahn, he was very much filled with enthusiasm tonight as well as MYSELF, to enjoy such an atmosphere as this, but I did not wish to call on him to speak up here until he should have fully dined.  No doubt he is satisfied now as far as the material food is concerned!  It may be that he might have something else to say since he is known now and has been identified.  While he is speaking, someone else may be inspired to have something to say.  And remember,

“The thing you vividly visualize, you tend to materialize.”

We have been visioning beautiful things!  This is beautifully discerned, is it not?  Well, we mean to materialize it and universalize it and continue to personify it until the personages of humanity unify by the personification of this of which we are stressing.  I thank you.
